Creating the Network
IN WINDOWS XP
1. Click "Start" and then "run"
2. Type "cmd"
3. The display for DOS and type "ipconfig". Note the "Default Gateway" in my case
"192.168.1.1"
4. Go to "start" again and on "My Computer" right click and go to "properties"
5. tab and go to "computer name" and click "Change"
6. In "Computer Name" put the name of the PC (this is not the username, but the name will be displayed on the network to other computers). In "Working Group" to put the name of what was called our network (this setting does not affect the WIFI network).
7. Reboot the PC
NOTE: All teams have the same network name are connected together.
8. In the folder you want to share right click and go to "Properties" tab and then "Share". Right here select the option "Share this folder private"
NOTE: Windows XP shared folders only, while Windows 7 share files and folders.That is the option of sharing appears to us as the system, but Windows 7 can share files to Windows XP but not vice versa.WINDOWS 71. Go to "Start" and type "cmd" and hit "Enter"
2. Type "ipconfig" and note the "Default Gateway" IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE SAME WINDOWS XP in Windows 7 home in the Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1 what is right.
3. Go to "Start" and right click on "Computer" then go to "Properties"
4. Browse through the window to "Computer name, domain or workgroup computer" and click "Change"
5. In the tab "Computer Name" click on "Change". In the new window name of the PC and put SAME NETWORK NAME (same step point 6 in Windows XP)
6. We accept both windows and close all.
8. "Network and Internet".
9. "Choose homegroup and sharing options"
10. "Change advanced sharing settings"
11. We sailed out the window to "Use Password protected sharing" and check "Turn off sharing with password protection"
12. Now in the folder / file you want to share right click and we will share, "specific users" From the users choose what we want, we press Add, and then the read and write, finally we click on "Share "and then" ready "
13. Reboot
