Virtualization: VirtualBox

VirtualBOX

Not only is VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2. In other words VirtualBox is a virtualization program that allows, or installation of any operating system within a host system if any damage cause you to this. It is best to test a system and we can rest assured that what we do will not affect our PC.

How to install an OS in VirtualBox?
Note: I installed it in Ubuntu 11.10, but no matter the OS is the same in all cases
Note: This example will install a Windows XP but it is the same in all cases




Some important terms:
Host: Used physical, real, YOUR COMPUTER
Virtual PC: Virtual Machine, not physical.



1. Click on "new"

2. Click on next


3. Write the name of the PC, choose the operating system and version. Click on next


4. Defines the size of RAM


5. Choose an option on the hard drive of the virtual PC.


6. Choose an option. I recommend the first. Click on next


7. Choose an option. Click on next


8. Choose the hard disk size. . Click on next



9. Click to create


10. Click on Settings.


11. Flap: System


12. Choose the order of botting.


13. Flap: storage

14. Select your physical CD drive to the host system can use it and start from there
