Kinect for mobile devices

There are some rumors that Kinect technology could be integrated in the mobile version of Windows.
The source would be direct employees of Microsoft BUT ARE JUST RUMORS, which ensured that the final step would Kinect to all products of the firm of Redmond, and this also means mobile products.

The proposal seems very interesting, particularly when you consider that besides the use of gestures, Kinect recognizes voice commands simple and very naturalto use, which would result in a better solution, easier and flexible. Subtractincorporate cameras and sensors to the device to recognize the gestures we make in front of the screen.

In this sense, Siri would be the most direct rival. While technology Kinect has not even been exploited to their full potential by the creators of games for Xbox, and development of such mobile devices involve the resolution of many technical issues, Microsoft executives acknowledged that the initiative Siri Apple (even inBeta period) was very popular, not only by the fanboys, but also for ordinary usersto whom the voice-activated assistant Cupertino seemed a good idea.

Also, one of the main obstacles when integrating these technologies into asmartphone would be the lack of space: Kinect requires three cameras, oneinfrared, which is used for the device to operate in the dark. While it is true, have asmartphone whose motion sensor only works during the day is not a crazy offer.

To understand some concepts:

  • Kinecta is a free game controller and entertainment created by Alex Kipman, developed by Microsoft for the Xbox 360, and from June 2011 to PC usingWindows 7 and Windows 8. Kinect allows users to control and interact with the console without having physical contact with a traditional video game controller, using an interface that recognizes user's natural gestures, voice commands, objects and images.

  • Siri is a personal assistant for IOS application. The application uses natural language processing to answer questions, make recommendations and take action by delegating requests to a set of web services is increasing. The application for IOS is the first public product of those who created it, who are focused on artificial intelligence applications. Siri was acquired by Apple Inc. onApril 28, 2010.
Affirmations include the merchandising of Siri that adapts to individual userpreferences over time and customize the results and learn how to perform custom tasks such as reserve a table
for dinner or order a taxi.

There are only 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand binary and those who don't
